Vanessa Husaruk is a graduate of the Montreal Conservatory of Music (Quebec Province), Prof. Sonia Jelinkova’s class (1994). She has studied with Kenneth Perkins, formely with the Orford Quartet (1994-97) and with Sylvia Rosenberg and Masuko Ushioda in the USA.


    She has been a guest soloist with the following orchestras: Montreal Symphony Orchestra children’s Matinées; “Les Grands Ballets Canadiens” , under Jacques Lacombe; “La Société Philharmonique de Montréal” , under Miklos Takacs; the Montreal Conservatory of Music, under Raffi Armenian; a chamber orchestra of the MSO, under Charles Dutoit; the Kingston (Queens University) Chamber Orchestra, under Kenneth Perkins, the Tulare Symphony Orchestra in California and the Plattsburg Sinfonia Chamber Ensemble conducted by Elisabeth Gorevic.


    She Played in recital for: “Les Matinées musicales française”; the Varia Concert Society; the Young Artists Series of the Musicorda Summer String School in Mass. USA; the Pavillon des Arts in Ste-Adèle; the Alliance Musical series of XXth century music; “la Chapelle historique du Bon Pasteur”; the Canadian Centre of Architecture and la “Butte de St-Jacques” in Montreal, mcgill university tanna schulich hall, Montreal Conservatory of Music, Stewart Hall: at Tudor Hall and at the manoir d’Outremont, the Château Vincent d’Indy, Church St-Léon, the Waldorf and l’Image d’Outremont. Collaboration with well-know pianist Paul Helmer and Matt Herskowitz.


    She was a winner of the “Festival Concours de Musique du Québec” and a finalist of the CIBC National Competition.

She is dedicating herself to solo.   


    She was a member of the first violin section in the orchestra of “Les Grands Ballets Canadiens”; associate concertmaster of “The Champlain Valley Oratorio Society” orchestra; and a substitute violinist for the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.


    She presently teaches violin at the Conservatory of Music, College Stanislas in Montreal.


    The well-known violinist Kyung Wha Chung for whom she played, encouraged her strongly to pursue her career.
